Make The Most Of It

 As authors, most of us fall short when it comes to marketing. The book business is the tough part of writing a book. I'm not the best at social media because life is busy, but I'm working on it. I would love to hear your tips and tricks of marketing and platform building. 

I feel like I'm starting over all of the time, but this time I want to learn more. Give me all of your wisdom from the blogosphere because tiktok is crazy! hahaha

I do have a launch party on Monday, November 27, for my new book, DISCOVERING CHRISTMAS, and I hope to see you all there! 

Writing Together for 31 Days: FRIEND

 I love this time of year when everyone encourages each other. It's so hard these days to rely or trust others, but every now and then a true FRIEND emerges. 

You know the kind of person I'm talking about. That one person you can share your thoughts with and laugh with. That one person that gets you and doesn't judge. 

Friends should learn to love each other and be honest. I like when that one true friend knows why I might cry, why I might be laughing, and what makes me smile. 

Be the friend that you woud want in your life, and maybe... just maybe... life will be a little more fun along the way!

An ironic word when trying to fill this space for the first day of writing. 

The next day should be easier... maybe. 

Oh, I know! I'm working on creating the perfect writing space in my house. It's going to be amazing once it's finished. Perhaps on the last day of prompts I can show it off! Happy writing everyone!

 I'm pretty sure I haven't blogged consistantly in quite some time, and I used to love this! 

Break the pattern.

I used to take good care of myself and considered myself quite fit. Now, I struggle to exercise.

What are some things you do to take care of yourself? Are there any habits you would like to stop? 

I'm ready to be unbusy with things and people that don't matter. Toxicity will surely quelch any progress you try to make. Be you. Be a better version of you!

A to Z Challenge Letter C is for Crafting

Today for the A to Z Challenge, C is for Crafting and CIRCLES. That's just one of those words if you say too many times it seems to lose all meaning. 

Crafting.... I do a lot of it, and I don't seem to finish a lot of projects. When I was married, I walked into my office one day and there were post it notes on different items around the room. A note was on the computer screen that said, "I have counted 25 projects." Well, those were just the 25 he could actually see! hahaha! 

I love circles, and I'm currently painting a lampshade to resemble Kandinsky Circles.

Here's my project! I'll update when it's finished!

A to Z Challenge Letter B

For my artistic fun for the letter B I decided to enter the Spring Fling Contest and write about BEES!!! They have rules to follow, and we are to use a gif for inspiration. It can only be 150 words. Fun!

5 Little Buzzing Bees

Five little buzzing bees

Flying through fields and over trees

Find ten flowers 

And buzz with delight

Five flowers on the left

Five flowers on the right

Buzzing this way

Buzzing that way

Buzz, buzz,

Buzzing all day

Until one buzzing bee said

"Hey, come count with me!" 

"Buzz!" said one.

"Buzz, Buzz!" said two.

"Buzz, Buzz, Buzz!" said three.

"Let's count more!" said four.

Buzzy, Buzzy, Buzz, Buzz, Buzz!

Said five flying upside down.

So the five flew together counting buzzes, 

And other things close to the ground.

They counted five dandelions. 

They counted five big sticks.

"We could count the circles we make

When we fly and do fun tricks!" 

One circle

Two circles

Three, four, and five.

Then counting all the things they see

Flying to the hive.

Five big red balloons 

Floating slowly by

And five colorful clouds

That filled the evening sky.

The A to Z Challenge Letter A

 It's April, and that means it's time for the A to Z Challenge! 

This A to Z challenge I've decided to do something fun each day! Today I should call my theme "I Should be Editing" since my latest mauscript is finished, but in honor of the letter A let's call it "Artistic Fun!" 

My home is literally the land of unfinished projects, but I think by the end of April I can make some fun happen! I can't wait to share some things with you along the way! 

Today is my blank canvas. I do mean that in the literal sense too. My blank canvas is over by my kitchen table!
