What's Next?

Have you ever sat down to write... and sat.... and sat... and sat? Well, that's a little of NaNoWriMo is like for me this time. I can't seem to focus on one story at a time. What do you do when you can't keep your mind on one story line?

At the moment I keep two Word documents open. I have the NaNo project I'm working on, and my wall document. That's what I call my go to story when I hit that writing wall. Writing for me is like changing the channels on a television or radio for others. If I don't like what's going on in one place I just switch to the other. No time wasted, and I'm still writing... I'm still writing... I'm still writing.

What will happen next? Well, that just depends.. if I can keep all the characters in the right stories.

Do you write more than one thing at a time, or are you loyal to that one project until it's complete?

Where are you Peter Pan?

The first play my kids were in was Peter Pan. I love watching my kids on the stage. They sing, they dance, they make memories. The theater has given us friendship, given up hope, and given us joy. But, we always talk about that first play.

You see, tonight is the last night in the nursery for my oldest daughter. Tonight is her last night to be 17. Tomorrow when she wakes up she will be 18 and considered an adult by the world's standards.

So tonight, we fling open the nursery window, gaze off into the night sky, find the second star to the right, and wish for Peter Pan to whisk us all away to Neverland.

The last night in the nursery for you, sweet girl. But, forever my little girl in my heart.

Time Flies!

November is the month that stands as a reminder just how fast time goes by. Today my second oldest is 16. Just a minute ago wasn't I sixteen? Sixteen and in the 80's... now that was some kind of fun. Who doesn't love the 80's? Big hair, hair bands, bandannas, and Bon Jovi. Well, I still enjoy Bon Jovi.

My sweet family has grown so much since I started this blog. I hope and pray that each day that passes that I leave with them wisdom to live by, spiritual guidance, and love to give them courage. The truth is that with each day that passes they give me so much love that I have the strength to endure just about anything.

Time passes fast. There's no stopping it. But, if you take the time to look around, take the time to enjoy the small miracles in every day, then time gives you the gift of beautiful memories. .

I don't mind the passing of time, well except for the daily fight of wrinkles. Though I miss the times my kids were little I enjoy sharing in the time they are becoming more of who they were created to be.

Be thankful. Be grateful.

Happy November!

The month of November is one giant whirlwind, but it's so much fun I want to share it with you. My fab four have two birthdays coming up. I will have made another trip around the sun myself in November. There's Thanksgiving, of course. There's Thanksgiving break, and sleep.

However, for all of my writing friends, November ushers in another year of NaNoWriMo. We sign up to venture into the depths of who we are as writers allowing all creativity to push through every blank page, every word sprint, and every writing wall.

Do you have a story to tell? I think everyone has a book within, just waiting to be written. Let me know if you are participating!

There is another fun event in November! It's NaBloPoMo! National Blog Post Month on BlogHer. You can sign up to be a part of the fun until November 5, so pop on over and join the fun!

Oh and my newest novel will be out in November is all goes as planned! Keep watching for details and updates, and share you progress daily with me! Find me on NaNoWriMo, and don't forget to have fun writing!
