I have a mixed media A-Z for you all to enjoy! For my 26 posts enjoy great movie lines, favorite children's books, fantastic music selections, and perhaps an episode of Seinfeld or I Love Lucy! A little something for everyone! Adding some fun at the bottom... don't miss it.
Finding Neverland
(Picture large for you today... it's Johnny Depp... enough said)
Peter Llewelyn Davies: This is absurd. It's just a dog.
J.M. Barrie: Just a dog? *Just*?
[to Porthos]
J.M. Barrie: Porthos, don't listen!
[to Peter]
J.M. Barrie: Porthos dreams of being a bear, and you want to shatter those dreams by saying he's *just* a dog? What a horrible candle-snuffing word. That's like saying, "He can't climb that mountain, he's just a man", or "That's not a diamond, it's just a rock." Just.

by Kenny Loggins
(I know you can't sit still for this one.)
I Love Lucy: "Fred and Ethel Fight"
(full episode added for you... everyone could use some Lucy time.)
Fred: She called my mother a weasel!
Lucy: Apologize, Ethel.
Ethel: No!
Ricky: Oh, come on now, Ethel.
Ethel: Well, I'm sorry your mother looks like a weasel.
Adding Military Phonetic Alphabet to the mixed media fun. A little something to keep our minds busy.
The phonetic alphabet is used widely in military communications. It's a system set up in which each letter of the alphabet has a word equivalent to avoid mistaking letters that sound alike when transmitting messages. Let's start with A-F
A - Alpha
B - Bravo
C - Charlie
D - Delta
E - Echo
F - Foxtrot
(A note to those that stop to smile.... since today is "F" day....... meet me on the Flipside, and be sure to come back for letter "K" day. You're all welcome to enjoy, G, H, I, and J until then.)
I used to love I love Lucy, my what a character,
ReplyDeleteAnother good word. Most enjoyable to read.
Yvonne.
hahah! Great to meet you too! I'll be back ;o)
ReplyDeleteI think it is wonderful how you take time with your kids and share all the "old" movies, Tv series, books, and cartoons with them. So many of us can learn from your example. Thanks for all the great ideas we see lived out in your life. Blessings on you and yours!
ReplyDeleteFollowing from the A-Z photo challenge :-)
ReplyDeleteI love Footloose!
ReplyDeleteFrog and Toad - I think I remember that book from when my kids were young!
ReplyDeleteTomorrow is G ... I wonder how many will write about golf (sorry, I'm a retired Marine and couldn't resist!).
