A-Z Blogging Challenge: Letter M

I have a mixed media A-Z for you all to enjoy! For my 26 posts enjoy great movie lines, favorite children's books, fantastic music selections, and perhaps an episode of Seinfeld or I Love Lucy! A little something for everyone! Since we visit the letter M today, I thought it best to let Mr. Ed have our television spot. Enjoy!

Signs
(I like just about everything he's done.)
Graham Hess: People break down into two groups. When they experience something lucky, group number one sees it as more than luck, more than coincidence. They see it as a sign, evidence, that there is someone up there, watching out for them. Group number two sees it as just pure luck. Just a happy turn of chance. I'm sure the people in group number two are looking at those fourteen lights in a very suspicious way. For them, the situation is a fifty-fifty. Could be bad, could be good. But deep down, they feel that whatever happens, they're on their own. And that fills them with fear. Yeah, there are those people. But there's a whole lot of people in group number one. When they see those fourteen lights, they're looking at a miracle. And deep down, they feel that whatever's going to happen, there will be someone there to help them. And that fills them with hope. See what you have to ask yourself is what kind of person are you? Are you the kind that sees signs, that sees miracles? Or do you believe that people just get lucky? Or, look at the question this way: Is it possible that there are no coincidences?
Merrill: One time, I was at this party... and I was sitting on the couch with Amanda McKinney. She was just sitting there, looking beautiful. So, I lean in to kiss her, and I realize I have gum in my mouth. So, I turn to spit it out and put it in a paper cup. I turn back, and Amanda McKinney throws up all over herself. I knew the moment it happened, it was a miracle. I could have been kissing her when she threw up. It would have scarred me for life. I may never have recovered.

  5. I think we have very similar tastes. I love all of M. Night's movies, they're amazing. He has a very unique perspective and reminds me of a modern day Alfred Hitchcock.
Moo Baa LaLaLa....love, love, love all the Boynton books. When our kids were very young, my husband and I found that book in a bookstore and sat there and laughed hysterically, we absolutely loved those books and ended up buying all that we could find. They make great gifts for new moms.
I love visiting your blog, it reminds me of all the many good memories I have via, books, movies, music! Thanks for sharing! Have a splendid day!
